She does the city featured me in the "Her Career" section

Thanks to Suzanne Cheriton, publicist extraordinaire, the nifty site "She does the city" put up a feature about me. Included is a run down of my typical Thursday.

Here's a quick excerpt that are my five tidbits of advice for people starting out:

1) Learn how to speak in front of people and get over your shyness. Take a course if you have to.

2) Don’t choose a job or career based on fear, sensibility or logic. You’ll only stick with something and get really good at something you love. Do what you love and the money will follow.

3) There’s a difference between acting professionally and pretending to be someone else. The most successful people are true to who they are at work and people are drawn to them.

4) Ask people for help along the way. You’re not going to get anywhere unless you realize success happens in clusters and people like being needed. Be polite and gracious but don’t be afraid.

5) Love what you do and follow your butterflies when making decisions. Life is too short to feel blah. Tune into your intuition so you don’t get stuck in the wrong place.

Thanks to She Does the City for your support!

Jane
